Cory Doctorow tells it like it is:
kalm, nieuwsgierig, vastbesloten
What tickles me and gets me going.
So, if you’re serious about making a difference, about adding value to this world, if you want to create the best, most powerful and energizing service/product ever: READ. THE. DAMN. BOOK.
I only read The Cluetrain Manifesto when it already was old (especially in internet-years), but now it has been refreshed. And the honest, shocking truth is that this book is as relevant today as it was in 1999, when it was first published.
This remains the one single most relevant piece of advice I can give to anyone who wants to ‘get’ social media: read The Cluetrain Manifesto.
So, if you’re serious about making a difference, about adding value to this world, if you want to create the best, most powerful and energizing service/product ever: READ. THE. DAMN. BOOK.
Pardon my French.
Have a wonderful Christmas, make a difference in 2010!
I am very happy to let you know that we (Lopend Vuur/New Music Labs) will be hosting the first Dutch edition of Un-convention in january 2010!
After visiting two UK Un-conventions this year, it was very obvious to us that the Dutch music world could benefit from the fresh perspective than Un-convention offers. So we asked for permission from the founders of Un-convention and got going.

Panels, Music and inspiring connections
We think we’ve managed to put together a nice set of panels, with some very inspiring panelists like Andrew Dubber, Ruth Daniel, Niels Aalberts and Walter Flapper. Take a look at the program right here.
And since it is all about the music, we’ve asked our friends at Ham Radio Communications to program a showcase festival for one night. They came up with some stellar acts, like AudioTransparent, The Black Atlantic and Rue Royale. View the line-up right here.
We have Early Bird Tickets available right now, so why don’t you head over to the Un-convention Groningen 2010 site and buy some? Looking forward to meeting you there and having a chat about the New World of Music. Cheers!
